Version 1.6-2026-10-13
These terms apply to your use of Clarity and to the family space you create in it.
Clarity in short
• Clarity helps you keep your family’s reports in one place and understand them.
• It shows each value exactly as your report printed it, with the line it came from.
• Its notes are a helpful first read. They are not a diagnosis, and they can be wrong.
• In an emergency, call 112 or go to a hospital. Clarity is not an emergency service.
• You decide who sees your family’s records and who gets a share link.
• You can download your records or delete your account at any time, from Profile.
• We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
These points are a summary. The full terms below are what apply.
What changed in this version
We’ve simplified how we describe the Assistant and your plan.
Clarity is not medical advice and not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112.
What Clarity reads and writes can be wrong. Check the original report and a doctor.
When you add family members, you confirm you are entitled to, and your consent covers them.
New sections on acceptable use, our liability, and how disputes are settled.
Sign-in is by email and a one-time code.
1. Who we are, and agreeing to these terms
Clarity is provided by NorthNeuron Technologies Private Limited (CIN: U63999KA2026PTC221320), registered office in Bengaluru, India (“NorthNeuron”, “we”, “us”).
These terms are a contract between you and us. By creating an account, or by using Clarity, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Clarity.
You also need to read our Privacy Notice and give the health-data consent. They form part of this agreement.
Questions about these terms go to contact@northneuron.com.
2. Not medical advice. Not an emergency service.
Clarity is not a doctor, and it does not give medical advice. It does not diagnose. It does not prescribe. It does not tell anyone to start, stop or change a medicine or a dose.
Clarity is not an emergency service. If someone may be seriously unwell, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital now. Do not wait for anything in Clarity.
Clarity is not a medical device. It does not replace a qualified doctor. Never ignore or delay a doctor’s advice because of something you read in Clarity.
Do not rely on Clarity to make treatment decisions. Decisions about health are made by you and a qualified doctor, using the original report and their advice.
3. What Clarity does
You add a report, a prescription or a clinical image. Clarity reads out the values the report printed, with the line of the report each one came from, so you can check it yourself.
Clarity may also write a short, preliminary note on what the results may suggest, written for a family member. It may say when something would usually be worth seeing a doctor about soon. It does not always do this, and it is not a diagnosis.
Around that, Clarity lets you keep a family space, plan visits and medicines with reminders, and create a time-limited link a doctor can open without an account.
On a paid plan, the Clarity Assistant answers questions about your family’s reports. To answer, it uses the person’s age and sex, if recorded. It does not diagnose, and it does not advise on medicines. If a question mentions an urgent symptom, it tells you to get medical help, including by calling 112. Limits on questions apply, as shown in the app.
4. AI output can be wrong
Clarity uses automated reading and artificial intelligence. What it produces may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. A value may be misread or left out. A note may be wrong.
Clarity tries to leave out a value it cannot read with confidence. So a report may show fewer values than it contains, and a value that is shown may still be wrong.
Always check what Clarity shows against the original report, and with a doctor, before you act on it. The original report is kept with the record for as long as the record exists.
We do not promise that any report will be read completely or correctly, or that any note or answer will be accurate, complete or suitable for your purpose.
5. Who can use Clarity
You must be 18 or older to create an account. Children are added to a family by a parent or lawful guardian. They do not sign up themselves.
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we send to it. Keep your email account and your phone secure. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
Tell us straight away at contact@northneuron.com if you think someone else has used your account.
6. Your family space
A family space has one owner: the account that created it and pays for it.
The owner can invite one co-carer. A co-carer sees and manages every profile in the family, as the owner does. A co-carer cannot invite anyone, end anyone’s access, delete a profile, hand the family on or change the plan.
The owner can give a person a place of their own. That person sees and manages only their own profile.
A profile can exist with no sign-in at all, for example for a young child or a parent you look after.
The family can be handed only to a co-carer.
7. What you add, and the people you add
You are responsible for everything you upload, type or share in Clarity.
By adding a person or their information, you confirm, and you promise us, that:
• each adult you add has agreed to it, or you are lawfully entitled to act for them;
• you are the parent or lawful guardian of any child you add;
• you have the right to upload each document and share each link;
• what you add is, as far as you know, genuine and about the person you add it to.
Your acceptance of these terms, and the health-data consent you give, are given for yourself and for each person you add. We rely on your confirmation and do not check it.
Before Clarity files a report that may belong to someone else, it asks whether the report is yours or the person’s you chose. Answer truthfully. Filing a report to the wrong person can mislead your family.
If you have added someone wrongly, remove their profile or the report in the app. If you cannot, write to contact@northneuron.com and we will act on it within a reasonable time.
8. Acceptable use
Use Clarity only for your own and your family’s health records, lawfully and as these terms allow, subject to reasonable use and the limits we set.
Do not:
• upload anyone’s information without the right to do so;
• upload a document you know is forged or altered;
• try to reach any account, family or record that is not yours;
• probe, scan, overload or attack Clarity, or get around its limits or security;
• copy, scrape, resell or build a competing service from Clarity or its output;
• use Clarity to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
• use Clarity in a clinic, hospital or business to serve patients, without our written agreement.
We may suspend or end an account that breaks this section. See section 18.
9. Share links
You can create a link that shows a summary of the records you choose. It lasts from 1 hour to 7 days, as you choose, and you can revoke it sooner.
Anyone holding the link can open it until it expires or is revoked. Send it only to the person you mean, and revoke it when it is no longer needed.
We record when a link is opened, and we may tell the person who created it.
A PDF you export, once saved or sent, is outside Clarity. We cannot take it back.
10. Reminders
Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee. Delivery depends on your phone, your settings, your network and services we do not control.
Do not rely on Clarity as the only way to remember a medicine or a visit.
11. Plans and payment
Clarity Free is free. It holds one profile, yours, and reads five reports each calendar month. The count returns on the 1st of each month, India time. A report Clarity cannot read does not count.
The paid plan holds four people in total, including you, with at most one co-carer. It reads as many reports as you need, and includes the Clarity Assistant, subject to reasonable use and the limits we set.
The paid plan is sold for three terms: 3 months for ₹599, 6 months for ₹1,199 and 12 months for ₹2,199. Each price includes GST.
You buy it through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google takes the payment, under their own terms. It renews automatically for the same term until you cancel in the store’s subscription settings.
Refunds are decided by Apple or Google, under their own policies. We cannot issue a refund or promise one.
If a plan is shown as active without a store payment, no charge has been made and none is owed.
We may change prices or what a plan includes. A change applies from your next renewal, and the store tells you as its rules require.
12. When payment stops
If a renewal payment fails, you keep full access during the store’s grace period, if it has one. After that the family space becomes read-only, even if the store is still trying the payment. If you cancel, it becomes read-only at the end of the term you paid for.
While the family space is read-only, Clarity deletes nothing. Everyone can still open and download the records they can see. Nothing new can be added. Medicine and visit reminders keep reaching phones until the family space is deleted.
The family space is deleted 30 days after payment stopped: 30 days after the renewal that was not paid, or after the end of a cancelled term. The app shows the date. If Clarity could not warn the family in time, the date moves later. It never moves earlier. Renewing before then restores everything.
On that date everything in the family space is deleted: every profile, the owner’s included, with every report and record in it. That includes the profile of anyone with a place of their own. Sign-ins are not deleted, and each person can start a new family space.
Clarity warns everyone in the family who has a sign-in a week before the deletion date, and again shortly before it. The warnings come by push notification and, where Clarity can, by email. They may appear on a lock screen.
What is deleted cannot be recovered by you. Copies in our backups are deleted when those backups expire. If a store takes a payment after deletion, only that store can refund it. Download anything you want to keep before the date.
13. Free accounts that are not used
If a free account is not used for six months, we delete it and everything in it. We will send a notification, and an email where Clarity can, 30 days and 7 days before, and opening Clarity keeps it. Paid accounts are never deleted for being inactive.
Using Clarity means opening it signed in. A reminder or notification arriving does not count.
For a free account, “everything in it” means the whole free family space.
14. Clarity Assistant chats
We use what you ask the Assistant, and its answers, to answer you, to train and improve Clarity’s answers, and to help with support requests you raise. Never for advertising.
A chat is deleted 30 days after its last message. You can delete a chat sooner. Deleting a chat removes it; what Clarity has already learned from chats in general cannot be separated out.
The Assistant may refuse a question, or be unavailable at times.
15. Deleting reports, profiles and your account
The person who added a report, the carer or a co-carer can delete that one report. The file and everything Clarity read from it are deleted, and any shared link that includes it stops working. Medicines and visits added from it stay.
The carer can also remove a profile, from Care. Everything on it is deleted. If someone signs in to that profile, their account is deleted too. The carer cannot remove their own profile this way, and no profile can be removed while the family space is read-only.
You can delete your account at any time, from Profile. Your account is deleted at once, and your files shortly after. It cannot be undone, and copies in our backups are deleted when those backups expire.
• If you are the owner, the whole family space is deleted: every person, every record, everyone’s access. To let someone keep the records, hand the family to a co-carer first.
• If you are a co-carer, your account and access go. The family’s records stay.
• If you have a place of your own, your account and your own profile go, with its reports.
The app tells you what will be deleted before you confirm.
16. Our rights, and the licence you give us
Clarity, its software, design, text and brand belong to NorthNeuron or its licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app for your family, under these terms. Nothing else is licensed to you.
Your documents and information stay yours. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display them only to run, secure, support and improve Clarity, and as the Privacy Notice describes. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies kept as section 15 and the Privacy Notice describe.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely and without payment.
17. Stores and other providers
The App Store, Google Play, your phone’s maker, your network and our contracted cloud service provider are outside our control. We are not responsible for their acts, their failures or their terms.
Your use of a store is governed by that store’s own terms.
18. Suspension and ending
We may suspend or end your access, in whole or in part, if:
• you break these terms or the law;
• your use puts another person, their information or Clarity at risk;
• the law, a court or an authority requires it.
We will give notice first, except where the law allows us not to or an urgent risk requires us to act at once.
During a suspension, where the law allows, you can still download your records.
We may stop offering Clarity or any feature. If we close Clarity, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice, so you have time to download your records.
You may stop using Clarity at any time and delete your account.
19. No warranties
Clarity is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, express or implied: not of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that Clarity will be free of errors, interruptions or harmful code.
Clarity is in active development. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times, including for maintenance.
20. Limit of our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profit, goodwill or opportunity, however caused.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from:
• a decision about health, treatment or medicine made using Clarity;
• a value misread or left out, or an inaccurate note or answer;
• a reminder that did not arrive;
• a share link, export or download that you sent or that someone else holds;
• information you added without the right to add it;
• the acts of a store, a phone maker, a network or another third party;
• events in section 22.
As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Clarity in the 12 months before the claim, and ₹5,000.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
21. Your indemnity
You agree to compensate NorthNeuron, its directors, staff and providers for any loss, claim or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
• your breach of these terms or of the law;
• information or documents you added without the right to add them;
• a claim by a person you added, or by anyone you shared with.
22. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as a failure of a cloud, network, power or store service; a cyber-attack; a natural disaster, epidemic, war or unrest; or an act of government.
23. Changes to Clarity and to these terms
We may change Clarity and these terms. Each version carries a version marker.
For a material change, we show the new version in the app and ask you to accept it. Until you do, some actions may be unavailable. You can still download your data, sign out, or delete your account.
We keep a record of which version you accepted and when.
24. Law, disputes and arbitration
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Please contact us first. Most problems are solved quickly that way (section 25).
A dispute not resolved within 30 days will be settled by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator appointed by agreement between you and us, or, failing agreement, as that Act provides. The seat and venue is Bengaluru (Bangalore). The language is English.
Nothing here stops either side from asking a court for urgent relief. Nothing here removes any right you have to approach a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Subject to this section, the courts at Bengaluru (Bangalore) have exclusive jurisdiction.
25. Complaints and the Grievance Officer
Write to our Grievance Officer at contact@northneuron.com.
We acknowledge a grievance within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 72 hours.
26. General
Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Notice and the health-data consent are the whole agreement between you and us about Clarity.
Severability. If a court finds any part unenforceable, the rest still applies.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a term at once, we can still enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over Clarity, and these terms keep protecting you.
Survival. Sections 2, 4, 7, 16, 17 and 19 to 26 continue after your account ends.
Notices. We may contact you in the app, by push notification, or at your sign-in email.
